Become a Prologue Artist

Are you a performing artist with a passion for reaching young people through the performing arts? Prologue Performing Arts is seeking professional performing artists to join our 2024-25 season line-up of artists working in schools and communities across Ontario. Prologue works with performing artists in all relevant disciplines (dance, theatre, music, storytelling, spoken word, puppetry and others) who reflect the diversity of Ontario to deliver performances and workshops in schools and community venues.

Call for Artists – 23/24 & 24/25

tdsbCREATES celebrates student voice and creativity through the arts while honouring the unique and powerful exchanges that take place between professional artists, teachers, and students in TDSB schools across the city. tdsbCREATES is presented by the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Arts Council with support from Prologue Performing Arts. Each year, students are encouraged to explore the festival theme through artistic creation in one or more of the arts.

The Paula Fund

The Paula Fund is named in recognition of the extraordinary contribution made by Paula & David Butterfield to the Prologue Performing Arts’ Endowment Fund. The fund, established in 2001, is made available to artists and companies currently on Prologue’s roster to support the final stage of development of a new presentation for young audiences.
