FLIPPING BALLROOM DANCE ON ITS HEAD!

AKA Dance aims to bring humour and joy to the stage, the classroom and the community through accessible contemporary dance works. The company was founded in 2007 by Amy Hampton and Keiko Ninomiya, with the purpose of creating choreographies that blend Japanese and Canadian traditions, drawing from butoh to ballet. AKA’s pieces are physically exciting and visually stimulating. AKA Dance has performed across Canada and Japan.
