Performance by CréaSonBeing ecological is so logical, isn’t it? CréaSon unites children of all age groups in a big “environmusical” party. This performance is the opportunity to hear tracks such as the popular tune Popcorn from the 1960s played on a “golfun”, The Simpsons’ theme done on the “xylo-hockey”, and an original rap by Sylvain Grenier, L’école-logique!, accompanied by Alain Quirion and his infernal drums. Throughout the show, the young participants are encouraged to clap their hands and sing (with a bit of jam and dance on the stage for a few volunteers at the end). Sylvain and Alain are really funny AND they are fantastic musicians. Watch this short clip to see for yourself! You can also check our photo gallery from our Spring 2014 showcase to see them in action.)
Workshop by CréaSon
Sylvain Grenier, the musician-designer behind CréaSon, is hosting this unique environmusical workshop. With the help of the creator of the original “Xylo-hockey” (and supported by the CréaSon Educational Guide found on his website www.creason.ca), the students will build the prototype of a musical instrument of their own creation, made from items pulled out of the home recycling bin. All instruments will then will be toyed with in groups. Every child will have the opportunity to play and describe his/her instrument. The workshop culminates with a joyful improvisation and the resulting “JunkMasterPieces” will be filmed for the students to watch and share..Teachers will be able to reinvest the artist's pedagogical approach, by managing a workshop to decorate the prototypes. Note that if if you book this workshop PRIOR to CréaSon’s school performance Eco-Logical Show!, it will allow your students to play their instruments at the end of the interactive show.
