Musical Tales and Adventures
The award-winning Razzmatazz for Kids has been delighting young audiences for over 25 years with their original children’s music and traditional songs in English and French. In Musical Tales and Adventures, every song provides an opportunity for experiential learning. The performers’ playful approach builds skills in listening, focusing, literacy, vocals, and movement. Razzmatazz builds a group experience with responsive singing, rhyming, rhythm, repetition, wordplay, actions, musical surprises, and even a dancing puppet!
The concert opens the doors to stories; of Thomas’ ancestors, the French-speaking Acadians who settled in Nova Scotia, with grateful acknowledgement to the Mi’kmaw people; of Sandy’s Jewish grandmother who immigrated to escape discrimination; of animals dancing in the woods, finding lost notes in a clarinet, and a bird that sings ‘tweet, tweet, tweet’ only to learn that all different bird songs and languages belong in this beautiful world that we share.
