Call for Board of Directors Members

About Prologue Performing Arts

Established in 1966, Prologue Performing Arts is a not-for-profit charitable organization that facilitates access to performing arts experiences in schools and communities across Ontario. Prologue facilitates over 1,000 performances and workshops that reach 300,000 young people across Ontario each year!

Board of Directors Opportunity

As a not-for-profit arts organization with a strategic growth plan in place for the next few years, we are looking for members to compliment our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors’ primary roles are fiduciary responsibility, governance, and hiring leadership.

We have recently identified key strategic initiatives that will be carried out to increase exposure of Prologue’s brand, digitally revitalize the organization, present the highest quality of performing arts opportunities, and ensure all youth across Ontario have access to the performing arts.

Prologue Performing Arts Board members will work with the Executive Director and staff to steward the following key objectives:

  1. Build a sustainable growing operation to increase access for our programs across Ontario.
  2. Position Prologue as a leader of arts education throughout Ontario.
  3. Curate diverse, representative, pro-active programming.
  4. Curate and execute a Northern strategy to expand Prologue’s impact.
